Butterfinger Easter Egg Cupcake – Good Cheap Holiday Party Menu Food Idea

  1. Make the cake mix according to the directions on the package. Add the butterscotch chips and caramel topping. Mix together and scoop into cupcake liners (2/3 full). Then insert a Butterfinger egg inside each cupcake liner
  2. Cook according to directions on cake mix — 350-degrees for 12-15 minutes, until tops are golden brown. Let cupcakes cool.
  3. Mix frosting, then take a king-size Butterfinger bar, put it into a gallon zip lock bag and crush it. Frost the cupcakes with the Buttercream Frosting and then sprinking the Butterfinger bars onto the top of the cupcakes. Then garnish with either a larger piece of candy bar or a decorative item like a chocolate bunny.
