  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 4 round pans with baking papers.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. In a large bowl gently beat together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vinegar, and vanilla with a handheld electric mixer. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the wet and mix until smooth and thoroughly combined.
  3. Divide the batter evenly among 4 round pans about 2/3 filled. Bake in oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, until the toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool completely before frosting.

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  1. Beat butter and cream cheese until well combine. Stir in vanilla and powdered sugar. Continue to beating well. Add in more powdered sugar slowly until reaching desired consistency.
  2. Add black food coloring & mix well, until reach desired color.

To garnish:

  1. Level the top of 4 round cakes. Stack them up, frosting with black cream cheese frosting between each layer.
  2. Cover 1 thin layer of frosting all over the stacked cake.
  3. Frosting black cream cheese rose on the cakes using 2D closed star tip & serve.
