Deviled Egg Dip – Best Cheap Halloween Party Snack Food & Protein Appetizer Idea

  1. Place eggs in pan covered with water bring to boil over medium heat. Remove pan from heat put lid on pan and time eggs for 20 minutes. Drain water, add cold water and ice to cool eggs down. Replace water and ice if needed until eggs are cold. Place 3 eggs aside for decorating dip
  2. In a food processor place 9 eggs (I cut mine in half to make sure everything fits), mayo, sour cream, salt, pepper and dry mustard,Β process until smooth (this dip will have some texture to it, which is great, it won’ slide off the chips s easily (if you prefer it really smooth, press it though a strainer). Remove 1/4 cup of mixture, mix 1 drop orange coloring and the yolk from one egg (that was held aside) mix until well blended, place this mixture into to halves of an egg for the pumpkins.Β With the remaining 2 eggs, with a toothpick, place three dots of black coloring to create the ghosts faces. (less is more with black, just a few simple dots work best)
  3. Spread the dip over a plate and decorate with the eggs and chives
  4. Serve with chips, pretzels, veggies or bread.
